The print

The design is an all-over Warli-style print of figures and village vignettes. It is printed digitally in Bangalore by a specialist print studio, with the same repeat used on every piece, so the colour and pattern arrive as drawn.

The pallu

The pallu carries a large magenta panel: rows of figures around central huts, separated by horizontal geometric bands — a little village scene at the end of the drape. A narrow magenta band and a thin decorative strip edge the length.

The drape

It is soft and smooth with a fluid, lightweight fall — 6.2 to 6.3 metres in total at 44 to 45 inches wide, made up of a 5.5 metre drape and a 0.8 metre (80 cm) running blouse piece continuous with it. The whole thing weighs about 425 grams, so it carries easily through a long day.
