Cream florals scatter across red silk, stamped one block at a time.

Why this piece

  • The bottom is left entirely unprinted, so the set can be worn quietly or fully.
  • Genuinely hand block printed in Bhagalpur with hand-carved wooden blocks.
  • Opaque silk that needs no lining, even in a single strong colour.

Where the print goes

The bottom carries no print at all. The top takes a moderate scatter of floral and geometric motifs in cream and white, and the dupatta carries the most: a wide decorative floral panel down one length and a geometric band across the bottom edge.

Everything sits on the same solid red, so the set stays monochrome while the density climbs from piece to piece. Stitched together, it gives a plain salwar, a printed kurta and a dupatta that finishes the look.

One colour, worn well

A red set with cream work is festive without being bridal, and it carries a day wedding, a family function or a formal evening equally. Gold jewellery is the natural pairing; keep accessories minimal against a print this deliberate.

The silk

Red is the shade that most often disappoints on a dull fabric. Katan silk keeps a lustre under the matte cream print and drapes gracefully, and the colour is fast, so the cream stays clean of it.

In the set

  • Top: 2.5 m, 44 to 45 inches wide
  • Bottom: 2.5 m, 44 to 45 inches wide
  • Dupatta: 2.5 m, 35 to 36 inches wide
  • Weight: 600 to 650 g for the top, bottom and dupatta together
  • Lining: not required, the fabric is opaque; add one only to elevate the look
  • Stitching: up to 4XL for straight kurta sets, with the length customisable for larger sizes
  • Care: dry clean the first wash, then a gentle cold hand wash
  • Collection: Kinara

Handcrafted in Bhagalpur, and still dispatched the next working day.

Motifs that sit a fraction off the line are the printer's hand, and the reason no two lengths match exactly.
